Martin’s wife Bernie and son Emmett were on hand for both the Chieftain's Walk and the inaugural dinner for the Martin McGuinness Peace Foundation. The crowd was treated to great entertainment by the Didley Idols.

Gerry Kelly flew in from Belfast to address a full house and speak about Martin. Bernie thanked everyone in attendance for their support. There were also welcoming remarks from Chuck Schumer and Mary Lou McDonald.
